IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING CANADA POST: Please note that due to ongoing labour discussions, Canada Post mail service may be experiencing delays. Please be mindful of possible delays when filing applications and documents with the Rental Office during this time and consider alternative methods of delivery to ensure that your application is not impacted by postal delays. You can file applications or documents by:
- drop off at any Access PEI location (please ensure you allow for enough time, as this service uses provincial interoffice mail)
- commercial courier service
- email to askrental@peirentaloffice.ca
- drop off in person at the Rental Office located on the 5th Floor, National Bank Tower, 134 Kent Street, PO Box 577, Charlottetown, PE
If a landlord or tenant is not satisfied with an Order issued by the Director of Residential Tenancy, they may appeal to the Commission by filing a Notice of Appeal. When a Notice of Appeal is filed, the panel of Commissioners will consider the matter and a rental appeal hearing will be scheduled. After the hearing, the Commissioners will issue an Order that will either agree with, vary, or quash the Order issued by the Director of Residential Tenancy.
Reminder: Appeals are filed with the Commission, not the Residential Tenancy Office. To file a Notice of Appeal, please visit the Commission website by clicking the button below.
